7FAM asked REDSTITCH to design a highly flexible suite of displays for their newly expanded accessory offering. After a competitive market audit, we quickly developed a list of parts that would cover their needs. Our solution incorporates pinnable surfaces throughout the fixture collection, with mix-and-match layers, stands, and frames that allow merchandisers to create an endlessly reconfigurable presentation.

IDEATION

We loved the simplicity and ease of using cork boards as a way to hold the jewelry and layer pieces in interesting ways. That idea evolved into a layered system of frames, trays and wireframe cubes that could be mixed and matched to create a staggered, multi-level tabletop display.

As we added various stands and accessories, we looked for ways to incorporate pinnable surfaces and make everything work together for endless merchandising possibilities.

 
 

 
 

concept REFINEMENT

The goal throughout development was to streamline the program and keep the number of unique elements to a minimum. Magnets were embedded in the cork boards, allowing them to self-center in metal trays and attach directly to reversible wire easels for angled presentations.

To protect the cork from wear and tear, the pin boards were covered in 7FAM denim and hand distressed using the same techniques 7FAM uses. 

 
 

 

INSTALLATION

 

REDSTITCH helped 7FAM develop a tiered distribution plan for rollout, based on store size and SKU counts. Once in-store, visual merchandisers put the system's flexibility to great use, coming up with unique presentations and adapting to the various store formats with ease.
